The Beginning... 

In the early '90s, one day I happened to pay a visit to a Lady named Renata Stacchini, breeder of Afghan Hounds under the "Montecchio della Val d'Era" prefix; she bred several Champions and also imported a beautiful bitch who at the time was very successful as a showdog, winning many BIS until the age of 12. To see her enter the ring was a breathtaking experience! I'm talking about Boxadan El Shaba who can be found today in some of our dogs' pedigrees.

 

 

On that same day I brought home my first Afghan Hound, the black masked red 13 months old "Sidry".

Montecchio della Val d’Era SIDRY

Unfortunately Sidry passed away at the young age of nearly 4 due to an heartattack.

We were devastated but in spite of this pain the will pushed us to go on. 1991 signs the arrival of our first Shih Tzu "Shatz" (Growingfolly).

MARCO will join me only few months after Sidry's passing. And I want to thank him for being here and being a very important presence in this journey. Together and joining our forces we decided to start breeding and improving this breed!

 

 

August 1995 - Damy arrives.

December 1995 - Rachel is now part of our lives... She is from the Sadani Kennel owned by Mrs Sabato Daniela. Today, after many years and lots of work, we can say that it's not easy to valuate if breeding the last 3 litters under her prefix was something positive or negative. These litters were bred by us but registered with the "del Sadani" name.

That's why in 2002 we applied to get our own Kennel Prefix. Today, at the end of 2003, we are happy to share our lives with our dogs!
